SporTran OnDemand

With input from the community, a public transit alternative has been created – SporTran OnDemand! OnDemand offers a direct route from designated stops for riders in specific locations/zones. Customers can enjoy transport in vehicles such as Dodge Caravans, Chevy Malibus, and Dodge Challenger sedans. OnDemand has replaced the previous LiftLine service, offering direct transportation for individuals requiring Paratransit (ADA) accessibility. The OnDemand paratransit vans are specially equipped with wheelchair lifts/ramps and other features to enhance mobility for customers with disabilities.

• OnDemand is being gradually implemented in phases, increasing the service area over time.

SporTran has a long history dating back to the 1870s when mule-drawn street cars operated from downtown to surrounding areas. Today, SporTran boasts a fleet of over 95 modern buses, including heavy-duty and smaller cutaway models designed to serve all passengers, including those with disabilities. The buses are environmentally friendly, powered by advanced emission reduction systems like Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and 100% Battery Electric Technology.

Starting in 2022, all SporTran and SporTran OnDemand rides are offered at Zero Fare! Passengers do not have to pay for their trips.
